Dinner IN the Creek

Harpeth Conservancy is hosted our third Dinner IN the Creek on Tuesday, June 13th at 6pm. This year, we featured a new location along Leiper’s Creek, about 7 miles south of downtown Leiper’s Fork. The creek is about ankle deep, runs along a gorgeous mossy hillside sprinkled with small waterfalls that are just a short walk from our dinner table IN the creek.

Registrants were greeted in a refurbished 1800’s schoolhouse where they could grab a glass of bubbles and meander to the creek. Hors d’oeuvres were passed during cocktail hour while guests crossed the creek to get their beverages, including the option of a specialty drink that was served cocktail or mocktail style. Friends gathered in the creek, wandered down the creek bed, or mingled with each other around cocktail tables in the creek or on vintage couches and conversation groupings.

The evening included a farm-fresh seated dinner by BAMFoods Catering from Columbia, TN, featuring locally sourced produce and meats. Musical guests included Americana duo Carolina Story comprised of Kingston Springs locals Emily and Ben Roberts (the family also runs Harpeth Moon Farm). It was a magical evening dining al fresco to benefit the rivers, creeks and clean water in Tennessee.
