Harpeth Conservancy hosted its second Conservation Conversation, a monthly online educational series with experts answering your questions, on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Dawn Nelson, Co-Owner of outfitter Higher Pursuits, discussed with the nearly 30 participants places to float on the river, equipment needed and safety. Watch our video of the event on YouTube.

Be sure to watch our calendar and sign up for our next Conservation Conversation on June 24 at 6 pm. Our topic will be Public Participation in Governmental Decisions with a panel of experts including Dr. G.S. Hans Director of the Stanton Foundation First Amendment Clinic at Vanderbilt, Deborah Fisher of the Tennessee Coalition for Open Government, and Harpeth Conservancy’s Vice President and COO Jim Redwine. This distinguished panel will discuss recent proceedings being held online in lieu of traditional in-person hearings. Is this the “new normal”? How do we adapt traditional public participation in midst of a pandemic? Register here and join us.
