Join Us To Learn About Our WONDERFUL WETLANDS!

Join us on Tuesday, February 6 to learn about the importance of protecting wetlands in Tennessee and ways you can help!

ABOUT: In this webinar, we’ll discuss the role that wetlands play in protecting us from flooding and erosion, providing drinking water, and safeguarding habitat for wildlife and recreation. We’ll also discuss legislation like HB1054/SB0631, that could pose a significant threat to the future of wetlands and the rivers they support across Tennessee.

This webinar will be hosted by Harpeth Conservancy’s CEO Grace Stranch; our Director of Watershed Science & Restoration, Dr. Ryan Jackwood; and our Community Engagement Manager, Marie Campbell.

P.S. HB1054 was reviewed by the Tennessee House Agriculture and Natural Resources Subcommittee on Tuesday, January 23. No action was taken. The bill will be discussed again on Tuesday, January 30. We need YOU to help us keep track of this bill as it moves through the legislature. You can watch a livestream of the subcommittee meeting by visiting the Tennessee General Assembly’s website (link below). Stay tuned for more updates and join us on February 6 to learn more!

Open to the public. Free to attend.
