DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, March 7th for invasive plant removal and tree planting at the Native American Indian Association of Tennessee‘s Cultural Center! We’ll contribute to preparation and land care for this important space and learn more about protecting land and water in Tennessee. \nWeed Wrangle® is a one-day\, area-wide\, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees\, vines\, and flowering plants. Planting trees and removing invasive plant species from our watersheds aligns with Harpeth Conservancy’s mission to protect and restore clean water and healthy ecosystems for rivers in Tennessee. \nGloves and tools will be provided. By removing litter and pollution from the banks of the creek\, we’ll help protect and restore streamside habitats for Tennessee’s wildlife while safeguarding water quality. We’ll collect trash and debris and learn more about how to be a life-long clean water advocate and river steward. Trash grabbers\, gloves\, and trash bags will be provided. If you have your own gloves\, feel free to bring them!
