Harpeth Conservancy and the Town of Kingston Springs Parks and Recreation Department invite you to help clean up the river bottoms of the Harpeth River in LL Burns Park. The park was greatly impacted by the recent March 2021 flood and there is plenty of “trash” to be removed from the river bottoms. Please give an hour or two of your time to clean up the unsightly mess that threatens our wildlife and clean water. WE need help from volunteers like you!
Your actions can make a difference in supporting clean water and healthy ecosystems. Grab your boots, water shoes, or old tennis shoes and join us for this walking river clean up on Saturday, May 15th. It may be a little muddy and you may have to navigate through some brush. Bring work gloves and a refillable water bottle. We will provide trash grabbers, trash bags and work gloves if you need them. We’ll also have some bug spray available. Please plan to support our efforts to comply with COVID Guidelines by wearing a mask and practice social distancing during the event.
Parking and restrooms are available at the park.
Special thanks to our 2021 Flood Recovery Effort program sponsor Ingram Charities. Also, thanks to the Town of Kingston Springs for partnering with us to properly dispose of the collected debris.
