At this cleanup, volunteers will learn what legacy trash is and how you can help clean it up. The project will include a 1/2 mile hike along an established park trail and a 1/4 mile hike along a narrow, rocky bluff trail that leads to a pond where volunteers will collect and load trash on canoes. This will help preserve wildlife habitat and protect the water quality of the Harpeth River. Also, we will reduce waste that ends up in landfills by recycling what we can.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a pair of work gloves and a reusable water bottle if you have them. We’ll provide canoes, trash grabbers, and trash bags. Register via Eventbrite HERE.
