It’s fall and we know you’re itching to cozy up to your backyard bonfire. But can these fires have an impact on the rest of the environment around us, from the waterways to air quality?
November’s Conservation Conversation is the second in a two-part series about burning where we aim to answer these types of questions. Part II: Impacts of Backyard Burning on the Environment, which will be on Wednesday, November 18th at 6PM (CST), will be discussing the regulations associated with backyard burning, how these relate to the environment, and available resources to safely burn at home.
Joining us for the discussion is TDEC’s Hattie Benet, Inspector, Division of Air Pollution Control as well as a representative from the TN Department of Agriculture.
