Did you know that Tennessee has some pretty unique hydrogeological features??  Middle and East Tennessee’s karst areas give us sinkholes, underground rivers, caves, and more!   West Tennessee has its own unique water features such as the Memphis Sand Aquifer.

The issue? Protection!

Join the Harpeth Conservancy for this month’s Conservation Conversation where we’ll discuss why these unique hydrogeological features mean that a “one-size-fits-all” approach appropriate for other US regions might not work well for Tennessee.

We will be joined by experts Dr. Chris Groves, Professor of Hydrogeology at Western Kentucky University, and Dr. Brian Waldron, Director of the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering (CAESER) at the University of Memphis.

This latest Conservation Conversation will be on Wednesday, February 24th at 6PM CST over Zoom.
