It’s wildfire season and we know you have burning questions!

This month’s online Conservation Conversation is the first in a two-part series about burning. Part I: Wildfires and Water Quality, which will be on Wednesday, October 28th at 6PM (CST), will be discussing the relationship between wildfires and our waterways and how this natural hazard impacts our water quality.

Joining us for the discussion is Dr. Mussie Beyene, ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow with the US Environmental Protection Agency, who will provide an overview on wildfires and their overall impact on water quality. We’ll also have the expertise of April Grippo, Deputy Director for TDEC Division of Water Resources, to provide a localized perspective on the topic.

Stay tuned for Part II in November, where we will talk about the do’s and don’ts of backyard burning here in Tennessee.
