Down the Duck River Float
Saturday, May 3 – 9am-noon
(Rain Date is May 24)
Join us for an informative and relaxing float down the most aquatically biodiverse river in North America – the Duck River! We’ll rent kayaks or canoes and launch off from Higher Pursuits in Columbia (for $5 off rental and reservation info, see below). As we float, we’ll make a few stops to learn about the freshwater mussel species that call the Duck home, many of which are federally listed as threatened or endangered and several occur nowhere else on earth. Dr. Amanda Rosenberger will be our volunteer guide and co-host, in cooperation with TWRA. Capacity is limited to 25!
Presented by Harpeth Conservancy, TWRA, and Higher Pursuits.
